Hello! I’m Maritza Coscarelli. I’m dedicated to helping you:
– Gain more confidence
– Become a better leader
– and step into the highest version of yourself that you dare imagine!
Though I began MC Coaching in 2014, a lifetime of experience informs my practice.
It all began with the ballet…
My introduction to coaching took place at the New Jersey Ballet Company, where I started on scholarship at 12. Ballet was my first love and would come to influence my coaching practice, though I didn’t know it at the time.
A pivotal moment happened when I was 15 – I was asked to assist the toughest teacher on Saturday mornings at her beginners’ class. Honestly, I wasn’t the most talented dancer, so I wasn’t sure why Miss Evy Lynn asked me specifically to help her.
But after I started the job, I realized that it was because she saw that I knew how to help people improve. Here’s the thing: In dance, you get feedback all the time. When my teacher gave me a correction, she saw I was able to not only apply it but also help others with it. So I started receiving and giving constructive feedback at a young age.
Though I left the ballet after a successful career, I took this process of evaluation and continuous improvement to other areas of my life. Years later, when I joined Toastmasters International, I became a district champion evaluator because I was able to offer speakers immediate feedback that encouraged them and challenged them to improve.
The same skills helped me advance within a few short months from an entry level position to becoming a Regional Director at NFC Amenity Management, a leading company in luxury condos and hotels. How did I scale the ranks so fast? I evaluated employees and coached them to improve their performance. This alone increased revenue by 338%.
So, as you see, I’ve been a coach for most of my life!
She has had the honor of attending NYU’s Tisch School of The Arts, studying Human Development at Eckerd College, and becoming a CTA Certified Coach as well as a graduate and facilitator of Peopletek’s Leadership Journey.
What this means for you…
I know what it takes to take responsibility for your life and to find the power to create what you want to create.
Remember how I said I wasn’t the most talent dancer at the New Jersey Ballet? That’s true – but I was the most determined, and I had the gift of outstanding teachers who saw that. They nurtured the dancing skills I had until I made it to the level I desired, which was to be a professional dancer.
I’m proud to say that I studied performing arts at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and went on to have a career that includes dancing with the Ballet Hispánico of New York, performing throughout the US, and touring in Italy. The steps it took to perform at this level inform my proprietary and holistic coaching system for high performance. In both dancing and coaching, I commit to showing up fully, paying attention, working with integrity, and releasing the outcomes. As a dancer, this led to some unexpected highlights such as these words by Jennifer Dunning of the NY Times. ( SOOO long ago…you can check it out here if you really want, too!)
Dance gave me the gift of knowing the discipline it takes to achieve your goals – and knowing where to ease off at the same time. It gave me the gift of quickly evaluating where you are – and challenging yourself to take one more step towards your goal.
These principles guide my coaching. Together, we will evaluate what’s going on in your life and see it for what it really is. Then we will work to decide what’s possible – there’s usually more than you think!—and work together to arrive there or somewhere even better.
One of my favorite phrases is “What’s next?”
I was a dancer, an actress, a teacher, a trainer, a business owner, and a manager.
I am a wife, a mother, and a coach.
What about you?
You have unfathomable power and potential within you. But it’s only developed with support, community, and guidance. (Despite how the media portrays them, the GOATs aren’t lone super stars… Misty Copeland has a village supporting her. So does LeBron James.)
If you aspire to tap into your potential so that your inner brilliance matches your outer reality, I’m here to help you do that. I’ve coached my clients to make possible what they couldn’t do alone – from passing certification exams to doubling their salary to starting their own coaching practices and successful businesses.
I can move you into the unique potential that already exists, whether you hope to feel powerful and strong in your body, free up time to spend with your kids, or grow your income.

Meanwhile, I’d love to stay in touch with you. You can find me mostly on Instagram, but I’m also on Facebook and LinkedIn. Write me today and say hello – tell me what your passions are! I’d love to hear from you.
From the heart,
P.S.: Why do I do this work? Put simply, I love people. In fact, I’m crazy about people the way some people are crazy about their dogs. I love helping people develop into the next version of themselves. And that includes you.
